Transportation Equity Summit & Advocacy Day

Transportation Equity Summit & Advocacy Day

Join us for our annual Advocacy Day this May 17, preceded by the Transportation Equity Summit, held the day before in collaboration with TransForm. Reserve your place today.

Monday May 16, 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Transportation Equity Summit

Tsakopoulos Library Galleria, 828 I Street.

Meet and network with advocates from across the state. Enjoy a lunch plenary and two periods of breakout sessions. We will learn about and advocate for more equitable transportation systems for our communities: better for bicycling, walking, and taking transit, with or without disabilities; with more affordable housing, in walkable neighborhoods.

6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Legislators’ Reception
Sacramento International Hostel

Enjoy Sierra Nevada beer and hors d’oeuvres while rubbing shoulders with bike-friendly legislators and their staff in the elegant parlor of the Sacramento International Hostel.

Overnight Lodging

We’ve reserved the entire hostel for the night of Monday May 16 for participants’ lodging. Reserve your bed or room (until sold out) on our registration site.

Tuesday May 17, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

A breakfast briefing, included in your lodging fee, will prepare you for a day of meetings with legislators and their staff. We’ll advocate for transportation equity, more funding for bicycling, and the rest of CalBike’s legislative agenda.

BLACK LIVES MATTER

California will never have the equitable, prosperous and inclusive communities that CalBike advocates for until we address and redress anti-Black violence. We want to actively contribute to ending systemic racism, especially in transportation policy, and most especially in bicycling advocacy. We promise to listen and learn how we can best do this work. To our community members who experience the violence of racism on a daily basis: we see you, we hear you, and we stand with you.
