National Allies

Each of the following national organizations is a valuable partner.

People for Bikes, the bicycle industry’s association, is a major contributor in many ways to efforts across the country to enable more people to ride bicycles.

League of American Bicyclists is the national association of bicycle advocates, organizers of the annual National Bicycle Summit and the Bicycle Friendly Communities program.

Alliance for Biking & Walking creates, strengthens, and unites bicycle and pedestrian advocacy organizations across the country.

Association of Bicycle and Pedestrian Professionals supports the individuals working to make our communities easier places for bicycling and walking.

Adventure Cycling Association, America’s bicycle travel experts, are great partners in promoting bicycle tourism and access for bicycle tourists.

National Center for Bicycling and Walking, of the Project for Public Spaces, organizes the biannual ProWalk – ProBike – ProPlace conference.

BLACK LIVES MATTER

California will never have the equitable, prosperous and inclusive communities that CalBike advocates for until we address and redress anti-Black violence. We want to actively contribute to ending systemic racism, especially in transportation policy, and most especially in bicycling advocacy. We promise to listen and learn how we can best do this work. To our community members who experience the violence of racism on a daily basis: we see you, we hear you, and we stand with you.
