Fix ATP: Fund Real Connections – Support AB 2168

AB 2168 strengthens California’s Active Transportation Program by sharpening how projects are chosen, funded, and delivered, moving the program closer to its core purpose: getting more people safely walking, biking, and accessing transit. The bill rewards projects that meaningfully connect people to public transportation, and encourages larger, network-level improvements by aligning additional state transportation funds.

Truth in Biking – Support SB 1167

Electric bicycles are already clearly defined under state and federal law. But increasingly, high-powered “e-motos” — often exceeding 750 watts and capable of motorcycle-level speeds  are being marketed and sold as “e-bikes,” especially to youth. SB 1167 draws a clear line. It protects legitimate Class 1, 2, and 3 electric bicycles while requiring higher-powered electric motorcycles and mopeds to be truthfully labeled, properly disclosed, and regulated as motor vehicles. This bill strengthens consumer protections, improves safety standards, and preserves the integrity of e-bikes as a clean, accessible transportation option for Californians of all ages and abilities.
