FINANCIALS & GOVERNANCE

CalBike consists of two related organizations: the California Bicycle Coalition and the California Mobility Fund (formerly the California Bicycle Coalition Education Fund). These organizations share the same mission: to enable more people to bike for safer, healthier, and more prosperous communities for all.

The California Mobility Fund is a 501(c)(3) California public benefit nonprofit corporation. Its tax identification number is  68-0417507. It is governed by these bylaws. Download the IRS certification letter here.

The California Bicycle Coalition is a 501(c)(4) California nonprofit corporation. While tax-exempt, donations to the California Bicycle Coalition are not tax deductible. Its tax identification number is  68-0317456.  It is governed by these Bylaws. See our Exempt Determination Letters from the state and the IRS.

Both organizations have adopted IRS-recommended policies to protect whistleblowers (CBC, CMF), retain and destroy documents appropriately (CBC, CMF), and protect the organization in the event of a potential conflict of interest (CBC, CMF).

Please use Guidestar to see more information, including the most recent tax filings for both the California Bicycle Coalition and the California Bicycle Coalition Education Fund (now the California Mobility Fund).
