Join CalBike in advocating for the return of $400 million pulled from the Active Transportation Program in last year’s budget.
Quick-build will allow Caltrans to fix hazards to people biking and walking in weeks or months rather than years. It’s budget-friendly, employing low-cost and readily available materials. Caltrans streets are often the most dangerous in a community. Quick-build will give the agency a tool that will save lives.
With climate chaos around the corner, the time is now to make bold changes to our transportation infrastructure — by moving forward with bike highways. The implementation of bike highways will not only enhance the quality of life for many Californians but also contribute to environmental sustainability and traffic congestion reduction. We urge you to take immediate action to make California a leader in bike-friendly infrastructure
Join or renew your membership. A gift of any amount makes you a member for a year. Becoming a CalBike member supports our efforts to get bike-friendly legislation passed in Sacramento and to secure more funding for bikes in California. We work with local bike coalitions to make sure communities have a voice in the state capitol.
We regularly need volunteers in the Bay Area or in Sacramento. In addition, we often have positions for volunteers working remotely. As a volunteer, you can gain valuable experience, connect with interesting people, and have fun!
