Bike Tour & Happy Hour

A short tour of the $11 million 14th Street Complete Streets project. We’ll address challenges regarding gentrification and equity concerns, and end with drinks and bites at the Kon Tiki Lounge on the corner of 14th and Webster.

Tour of East Bay Bike Facilitiies

A biking tour of Oakland, Berkeley, and Emeryville with an emphasis on Quick Build projects. It will include the beautiful new protected bike lane around Lake Merritt, and the controversial lanes on Telegraph Avenue, as well as a discussion of micromobility in Oakland. Scooters allowed.

Tour of San Francisco Bike Facilities

Visit one of the country’s leading cities for bike infrastructure. Protected bike lanes, networks of slow streets, bike bridges and contraflow lanes, all combine for an educational tour of bike facilities. The trip will include a trip to the Presidio to see one of the few edge lane roads in effect in the U.S.

Tour of East Bay Community Bike Shops

The Scraper Bike team in East Oakland, Spokeland in north Oakland, and Rich City Rides in Richmond are three diverse models for providing essential bike services to low-income residents in culturally sensitive and appropriate ways. We’ll get to tour them!
