How to Use This Toolkit
This toolkit is designed to help you share the Call for Sessions for the 2026 California Bicycle Summit, taking place April 23–24, 2026 in Sacramento. Inside, you’ll find ready-to-use materials for newsletters and social media to make spreading the word quick and easy.
Step 1: Key Dates
- Submission Deadline: November 16, 2025 at 11:59 PM PT
- Session Announcements: Rolling from December 16 through January 2026
- Final Program Release: February 2026
Step 2: Share the Submission Link
Encourage your networks to submit a session proposal using the form below: Submit a Proposal
Step 3: Use the Provided Content
- Newsletters: Copy and paste the sample blurb into your email updates or partner newsletters.
- Social Media: Share the sample posts on your channels or adapt them to your voice.
- Images: Download the graphics to accompany your posts:
Session proposals are due by 11:59PM PT on November 16th, 2025. Announcements will be made on a rolling basis beginning December 16 through January 2026. The final program will be announced in February 2026.

The 2026 California Bicycle Summit is coming to Sacramento on April 23–24, and the call for sessions is now open! Every two years, the Summit brings together community leaders, advocates, planners, engineers, transportation professionals, and elected officials to advance the future of bicycling in California.
The Summit Steering Committee is inviting proposals for breakout sessions and workshops. Proposals that are results-oriented, cross siloes, and include diverse voices will be the most competitive. If you have an idea, a success story, or a strategy that can inspire others and help make California’s streets safer and more joyful, we encourage you to submit.
