CALIFORNIA BICYCLE SUMMIT
Every two years, the California Bicycle Coalition holds the California Bicycle Summit, a 4-day event that brings together advocates, transportation planners, and policy leaders from around the state. We convene in a different location each time for four days of plenaries, workshops, bike rides, and keynotes. Our 2015 Summit, Equity in Motion, was a great success. A diverse group of participants included bicycle advocates, planners, bicycle industry representatives, elected officials, and activists for racial, gender, and economic equity. Activists from around the state—and around the world!—shared their successes and challenges in promoting equity and community building through bicycling; planners and policymakers shared exciting changes afoot in the private and public sectors; and all of us participated in challenging discussions on how the bicycle advocacy movement can better include and benefit California’s diverse communities.
We look forward to seeing you at our next summit, October 3rd - 6th, at the Sacramento Convention Center. Registration opens in April. In the mean time, please fill out this survey to express your input and receive summit updates.
