CBC Education Fund

The California Bicycle Coalition is a 503(c)4 nonprofit corporation. Because our advocacy mission includes lobbying elected officials and endorsing candidates, donations we receive are not tax deductible.

So in 1996 we established the CBC Education Fund, a 501(c)3 nonprofit tax-exempt affiliate that pursues the same goals as the CBC but without lobbying or endorsements. Specifically, the CBC Education Fund supports public information about the bicycling movement and education programs and information about safe bicycling. Donations to the CBC Education Fund are considered tax-deductible charitable gifts under federal law.
